BIURO 2003 – THE MTP GOLD MEDALThe MTP Gold Medal was awarded to PROFIm at the BIURO (Office) 2003 International Poznan Fair (6-9 May 2003) for its new product – the ACTIVE 11S manager chair. The MTP Gold Medal, first awarded in 1979, is given to the best products at the fair. ACTIVE is a modern manager armchair. An excellent work-aid for many hours of work in the office. Its elegant cup shape and specially designed armrests and base give the chair the appearance of luxury. Its stable and spacious seat area and ergonomically profiled back rest contain specially perforated leather upholstery, which permits the user to work long hours in real comfort. Adjustable armrests, gauze stress absorbers with additional cushion and the superb Synchro mechanism further enhance the high standard of this model. The armrests may be adjusted in a number of ways. The Synchro mechanism is highly ergonomic, permitting change in seating position, thus relieving stress in those parts of the body most at risk during work. The armchair is set on wheels, which allows it to move smoothly. Wheels are offered in a variety of versions – soft texture for hard surfaces (e.g. parquets), and hard texture for soft surfaces (e.g. carpets). Wheels can also be fitted with an additional break, which prevents the model from "sliding away" when not occupied. The Synchro Lux version of the armchair permits the back to be fully inclined (almost reaching horizontal position) in order to allow the best possible position for a short rest.
