IT LEADER – PROFImThe "IT Leader 2006” title in the industry category in the 10th edition of the contest organised by the Computerworld magazine was awarded to PROFIm in recognition of the Company’s implementation of the IFS Applications integrated company management system. The “IT Leader” title is awarded every year in five categories, including finance and banking; trade and services; public administration, public utility organisations and the industry. The distinction, very prestigious on the market, is granted in recognition of such applications of modern IT technologies in company operations which enable enterprises to effectively achieve their business objectives, e.g. increasing their competitiveness, reducing production costs or improving customer relations. The IFS application implemented at PROFIm proves that it is worthwhile to invest in advanced IT solutions. The system incorporates nearly all company departments, though successive modules were put into operation gradually. Benefits of the system were immediately visible. Major advantages include effective control of production costs and inventory levels and – above all – the maintenance of a short, 14-day lead time, considering the specific nature of the company’s production activity. The system also makes it possible to prepare comprehensive analyses and comparisons which form a basis of modern company management. The award was presented to PROFIm’s Chairman Ryszard Rychlik and Grzegorz Dybus, Logistics Director responsible for the implementation of the system, during a festive gala held at the National Theatre in Warsaw on 4 October 2006. Winners in other categories included Lukas Bank, PLL Lot and Procter & Gamble. Our congratulations to all the winning companies. |
