Red Dot 2015 winner in Milan!

At the turn of April and May this year, the FuoriSalone exhibition accompanying the largest Salone del Mobile design trade fair was held for a subsequent time. It was organised by INTERNI, the legendary design and interior architecture magazine. This year’s event was held under the theme “Energy for creativity”, it featured presentation of creative installations showing the approach to design aspects of the following personalities: Philippe Starck, Daniel Libeskind, Antonio Citterio, and Przemysław ‘Mac’ Stopa, the author of our new Pelikan collection which received the Red Dot Award 2015. The “Energy for Creativity” exhibition is an introduction to the EXPO 2015 trade fair held in May this year with the participation of 147 countries including Poland. The “Waves of Creativity” installation by Mac Stopa was prepared in cooperation with Profim. It is a design of an interior, the press salon of the entire exhibition, which is based on a fascination with colour, geometry and 3D effects. It was furnished with Pelikan armchairs “dressed” in the “Waves of Creativity” upholstery, which is characterised by a variety of colours and gives the impression of a rough sea.

The exhibition may be seen until 24 May at Università degli Studi di Milano (via Festa del Perdono 7, Aula Magna).

Pelikan (design: Mac Stopa / M. Ballendat) is an armchair with a characteristic organic bucket shape. The lower part of the seat features a shelf on which one can put a book, a laptop, or a bag. The Pelikan is available in two versions - with or without armrests. It is possible to choose from among four bases: legs, a runner, a flat base or a four-arm base.
The product will be available in the 2nd half of 2015.
