The STOS (Smart and Transdisciplinary Knowledge Services) Competence Center is an approximately 12,000-square-meter state-of-the-art IT center in our part of Europe. It is located on a vast plot of land surrounded by greenery at the foot of a park in Gdansk-Wrzeszcz. The complex, designed by the ArchDeco studio, is part of the Gdansk University of Technology campus. The STOS Competence Center is also distinguished by its timeless interiors, which align with contemporary standards of inclusive and sustainable design. Light is the main protagonist here, followed closely by acoustics. The whole complex is maintained in a supportive, subdued color scheme. Interior furnishings include furniture from Polish brands, including Profim and Balma.
We are delighted to see some of our most iconic furniture pieces playing a major role in this interior. On the 1st floor of the STOS building, you can find the AccisPro, famous not only for its modern look and lightness of form but also for its ergonomic design.
It doesn't stiffen the body in one position; instead, it allows the spine, shoulders, arms, and lumbar area to be supported by a mechanism that adapts to the user's movements and micro-movements while working at the desk.

Moving up to the other floors, you can find the LightUp, our top-selling swivel chair designed by the ITO Design studio. Thanks to the use of a low backrest and innovative lumbar support that allows for both height and depth adjustments, it's ideal for home and office workspaces.

In addition to task chairs, a range of soft-seating products were used to create a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. One such product is the Fan, an elegant, comfortable, and distinctive armchair.
Completing the ensemble, STOS included the Com. Thanks to the refined geometry of the shell, Com seats are very comfortable. Com can be freely configured, choosing from five types of bases and three shapes of buckets, making the collection suitable for many different spaces.
Two final additional elements were the set of hangers and pouffes. Vancouver Oto and Seven metal hangers attract attention with their appearance—a simple, sleek form with a distinctive accent of colorful hooks.
